Albert Einstein


(1879 – 1955) A German-born theoretical physicist who developed the theory of general relativity, effecting a revolution in physics and who is widely regarded as one of the most influential scientists of all time. For this achievement, Einstein is often regarded as the father of modern physics and one of the most prolific intellects in human history. He became famous for his explanation of the photoelectric effect (for which he received the Nobel Prize).
