Mohandas Gandhi (Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi)


(1869 – 1948) Commonly known as Mahatma Gandhi, in India as Bapu and Jathi Pitha. The pre-eminent political and ideological leader of India during the Indian independence movement. He led the struggle for India's independence from British colonial rule and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.
